I'm Tim

A portfolio manager at Shadowbrook, where I partner with individuals to help them create better financial outcomes. In the fall, I cross the Atlantic and moonlight as a Lecturer at the University of Bucharest, where the syllabus includes exciting topics such as Risk Management, Behavioral Finance, Investment Research, and the obligatory (and legendary) “Office Hours.”.

My obsession with investing began as a teenager, when I became fascinated by the world of currency and derivatives trading. Eighteen years later, the rest is history. What started as a curiosity became a lifelong passion, which now offers me the satisfaction and joy of sharing my experience with both clients and students.

These days, I spend about 90% of my time researching, developing financial strategy, and protecting clients’ interests while managing their wealth. The other 10% is spent mentoring the next generation of investors and the financially curious.

For me, the journey and the destination are equally important, so let’s go!
